Accessible

Designed for everyone.

We build sites with the kind of craft usually reserved for print — and craft means designing for the people who use them, not just the ones who look at them in Dribbble shots. Here’s where we stand.

01

The standard

Every page of this site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That’s the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines from the W3C, the international standard most governments and large organizations require. It covers everything from colour contrast to keyboard navigation to screen reader compatibility to motion sensitivity.

02

AODA compliance

We’re based in Ontario, which means the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) applies to us and to our clients. The AODA information and communications standard requires public-facing websites to meet WCAG 2.0 AA. We go a step further and target WCAG 2.2 AA on the studio site and all client work.

03

What we build in

On every project: semantic HTML, proper heading hierarchy, visible keyboard focus states, sufficient contrast ratios, alt text on meaningful images, transcripts for audio and captions for video, form labels, ARIA where it actually helps (and skipped where it doesn’t).

On motion: every animation on this site respects the prefers-reduced-motion media query. If your OS is set to reduce motion, the letter reveals, mouse parallax, and scroll-linked fades all drop away — content appears at rest. No vestibular surprises.

04

Where we're not perfect

Some parts of this site push the edges of what’s possible on the web — heavy GSAP timelines, scroll choreography, interactive heroes. We’ve done the work to make them accessible, but if you find a place where the experience falls short, we want to hear about it. Not a legal threat — a conversation.

05

How to report an issue

Email accessibility@meridii.com with a short description of the problem, the page you were on, the device and browser (or assistive technology) you were using, and what you were trying to do. We’ll acknowledge within two business days and fix confirmed issues as quickly as we can.

06

Alternate formats

If you need this page — or any part of the site — in a different format (large print, plain text, read aloud, translated), email us. We’ll provide it at no cost.

This statement describes the accessibility commitments of Meridii for the meridii.com website. It is reviewed and updated as the site evolves.
